Tejas Restomods

Have a ‘69 Chevelle convertible that wasn’t running consistently. Shared how the vehicle is used and they recommended an LS upgrade, along with some other suggestions to help keep the engine cool and optimize the performance. Project took about 8-9 weeks ant end of 2025 and they did amazing work. Completed the LS upgrade, cleaned up the engine department wiring, swapped out the radio and wheels, upgraded the radiator, fan, and exhaust pipes. Love the result so far!

If you are looking for someone to build you the high performance car you have always wanted get it done at Tejas Restomods!! Darin, Andrew, Brittany, and the rest of the crew are truly fantastic! I was referred to Tejas by a good friend who is friends with one of the owners (Darin). I knew from my first conversation with Darin that this was the place where my dream car would become a reality. These guys KNOW THEIR STUFF, the mechanics who work on the cars are top notch, and it is clear to me that they all love what they do! In addition to doing excellent work the crew at Tejas take time to discuss your project. They ask you lots of questions about what your goals are for your vehicle and then guide and help you choose the components that will work in concert to make your dream car a reality. I also really appreciated the constant communication and updates from Andrew on how the car was coming along. Photos were sent to me almost weekly documenting where the team was with my car. By the time the car was finished I felt like the people at Tejas were family. They shared my enthusiasm and were just as excited to create my dream car for me as i was to receive it! I can't recommend T

Contacted Darin at Tejas as I had heard from friends that he had experience with rotary vehicles, my car is heavily modified and engine swapped but was built by another shop that didn’t get it right. Explained the issues I was having that ranged from electrical to steering, what my goals were with the team there and left feeling confident this was gonna be the last shop I needed. Tejas had the car for 4 weeks and over that time I got several updates via text and email, including descriptions of the issues they found along with pictures and recommendations on fixes. Darin was very professional, knew what needed to be done and was able to explain why certain things were needed, at no point did I feel pressured to go a certain way or another and ultimately it was up to me what he and his crew did. In the end, I left with a car that I could get in, drive hard, put up, and repeat where as before it was “what’s gonna go wrong this time”. I can’t say enough for the team there, the work put in was excellent, professional, and tidy. Won’t hesitate to utilize them in the future.

These guys are the absolute BEST at what they do! I was there at the opening of their new shop and I was incredibly impressed with the facility. Darin and the guys worked on my little Miata race car for years at their previous shop. The results speak for themselves...2023 SCCA Conference Championship car! Couldn't have done it without y'all! Trust me people...this is THE shop for you.

I have a 1968 Corvette that I had restored 10 years ago. It has a new engine but has never run well and finding mechanics to work on a 4-barrel carburetor is a challenge. It would load up at intersections and flood. Darin at Tejas Restomods installed a Holley port injection system and other updates and it runs great. No more flooding, starts right up, and it idles well enough to not turn off the A/C. My wife and I took it on a date the other day and we got a lot of thumbs up. Thanks Darin and crew.
